I imagine the word choice is important here, too. "drones" vs "UAP" or "UFO" is less alarming to the public. "drones" also somewhat suggests they know what they are, which clearly they do not (publicly, but privately they must surely know what is going down).

Yeah it's going there but there's a bunch of drivers (which makes it more likely). I don't know how evenly spread it will be either - even during COVID the lockdowns were a farce and state melted away in some areas. In others it was treated as life or death and you had people getting arrested on the beach.
There's still people who are pretending passing the UAPDA or something would have stopped or blunted this. Congress isn't an action oriented entity and shouldn't turn to them to do anything, period.

The nuclear sniffer drones narrative is being promoted/planted by a lot of people who have "military sources" like Jon Stewart (not the Daily Show guy). It's great for disarming people - the objects in the sky have a prosaic explanation (US already has nuclear sniffer airplanes).
It doesn't really get into why these "drones" reportedly have transmedium capabilities, no heat signature and numerous other things. It is possible there's military drones mixed in with the "drones" that keep coming off the coast at night though.
I expect that the military/intelligence apparatus is going to obfuscate with their own "drones" to confuse people -- but some of it is for legitimate monitoring. They are clearly struggling to get a grip on this "publicly" -- this tells us that something serious is taking place -- and of course we here know that already. I am finding it amusing to see them clench and try to suggest there's nothing to worry about LOL
