Today I took the reins for hosting the meeting as Tazz had other commitments.
There are no topics for the meeting.
No participants this week.

Some thoughts though..
Would it help if there was a weekly email reminder sent out to people who might be interested to join that the Zoom Chat is about to start?
There's no obligation to join - its just to let people know.

Del i do feel this is kinda normal.. since you'll doing this every week from what i understand.
Sometimes you have more people other times you don't.
Like if you'll do this like one or two times a month it would give time for announcements in the platform and more awareness for many people. Not saying to do this, just to give an example.
But probably more investment in announcements, like reminders btw the weeks and not only in the day, like probably reinforce that there is going to be zoom meeting in the day x where people will discuss these topics... for example.
I don't know, just throwing ideas.

As I've said, I'd love to join, but not at 4am.

Your choice of times seems very strongly favouring those in the US. - and 4pm seems to suit no-one else on the rest of the planet.

As you can tell, I'm 12 hours exactly ... so if it was just for the US and for me, then I'd suggest a time like 10 or 11.

Which would then bring us to the issue of what day. For me, it's not going to matter, because I'm effectively unemployed from this coming Tuesday. I would also imagine that 4pm on Thursday isn't going to suit most workers in the US (or anywhere else). The most logical is going to be Friday night to Sunday night.

So, the smart thing to do now is to find out who's interested, and get their time zones and schedule... then plan a time/day. (not the other way around)

I'm sorry to hear you no longer have employment from Tuesday, I hope you're on to greener pastures from this.
We did try Sunday afternoon PST meetings but we changed it toThursday afternoons PST which was working better for us.
I'm not based in the US - there are people from everywhere on the forum - but as for the time zones, we don't know what suits people yet. If you're interested in the Zoom meets, please contact Tazz and be put on the email alert list for when the meeting starts, and include your most suitable time slot, and time zone you're in.

I initially started with when I get off work, naturally. But I can usually just start one whenever I'm prompted to. I'll be frequently leaving it open. Whenever there's more traffic is what I'll aim for.

I started a paid subscription for zoom. I think what might work best is if someone would like to host the zoom account on a computer to just keep running. Most time you would just leave the audio, mike and video off so that it doesn't soak up bandwidth. Basically like a glorified chat line. But this way people could zoom in and out whenever. You would not be required to discuss topics or moderate. It would just be a space, and I would come and chat wherever possible.

I'm not in a good situation right now to run a computer for permanent hosting. But someone here might???

Hi everyone - the Zoom Meeting #5 was great - this week we went a bit over time - nearly 2 hours, but lots of good conversation.
