Meaning of "Legal", from truth-buried-in-plain-sight English:
- Legal = possibly from ancient French 'Le' + 'gaul'
- Translation: The Jail/Gaol/Gaul/Prison
- Usage: 'Legal System" = 'The Jail system', or 'The Prison system"
--------- 'Legal Tender' = A system to tend/run the Jail/Prison system.
--------- 'Legalise' = Allow a person in the Jail/Prison system to be seen with items or doing things.

"Law" might be different;
Law = La + W, meaning "The Word" meaning 'The Words of God'.
Unpacking Law/The-Word-of-God is tricky. It's actually quite different than Jail/Gaol because
it probably describes an orderly way to live "in relative freedom".
The problem is, and it is well known in Judaism, that God can't make up it's mind from day to day what exactly a 'word' actually means. A word might have nuance, more than one meaning, more than six levels of meaning, depend on the context.
"Law" tries to survive in a Sea of complexity, nuance, and emotion.
It is however, not a Jail/Gaol but a set of values needed for an individual to survive in a group and in the universe.
The Court system, however bad it is as an abusive system in itself, has been reforming and getting better over the last twenty centuries. It's still run and controlled unfortunately by the same Maldekian Leadership group.
