I just became aware of farsight within the last week and started watching content. There is a mix of good and poorly vetted topics.
The "Recording UFOs basic camera setup" appears to be one of the poorly vetted topics. Although infrared can detect many things outside of the visible spectrum, the steps and images listed in this episode are pretty poorly interpreted.
The two "UFO" images presented in the episode appear to be:
1) An insect fluttering about. Many species of butterfly, flutter-wing fly, and flying termites have this behavior. How many you see will depend on the local insect population.
2) A spiderweb glistening in the air. Many spiders create these, the US East Coast had a news worthy outbreak of them in 2023.
Adding a 3rd 'human visible light' camera to the setup would help image analysis and determining if these are capturing purely IR data or just misinterpretations of normal phenomenon. Stereo vision software or or photogrammetry techniques would allow determining the distance to an object. Also a greater distance between the cameras would allow for more accurate distance calculations for objects further away from the cameras. Many specialized tools and experts in photogrammetry would be able to easily assist setting up and vetting a more scientifically viable camera rig.
