This is a strange story which I never wanted to tell anyone because I suspect a trap of some sort may be involved. Or it could be a positive story !

The problem involved is the method of contact which was the Ouija board. It is my belief that the Ouija board is a portal to very negative forces (at least sometimes). I never wanted to tell any posting board members from other sites about it because I thought it might influence members to go out and buy a Ouija board.

But because Farsight has viewed Satan himself--- well here goes--

The "person" involving the entity "Patience Worth" and her channeler Pearl
Lenore Curran. In 1912 Pearl with some friends bought a Ouija board and decided to have some fun. Pearl was a very common house wife living in the upper crust of society or at least not poor. She was not university educated and some would say had average intelligence. Very soon after using the Ouija board she was contacted by a "spirit".

To keep the story short she or should I say the spirit wrote several books. The words and sentences came out perfectly already formed with all ideas formed into complete paragraphs and chapters with almost no corrections. And the complex story lines ready for publishing almost immediately and came out at hundreds of words per minuite. Almost no corrections !! And to add credence to the story one of the books that were written was in OLD English ! Check out what that means ! Its unheard of.

The books were reviewed by editors of the day and were said to be remarkable. And yet Pearl could not write a poem or much more than a common letter of thankyou to friends. The books were very long in most cases.

Now its an intriguing story to pursue --- but this is what I am wondering because the personality of Patience Worth was a little caustic at times making me feel she wasn't a simple "all loving" spirit. Or at least she was complicated but all this stuff seems complicated these days.

A nagging feeling about her was that the entire process was to promote Ouija Boards and thereby introduce negative entities into the world.

Now its true that fairly soon after the contact with the OUIJA Board the contact switched directly to Pearl in a trance like state as I remember it.

Most contacts to spirits stories soon seem pretty bogus but I believe this is the most remarkable story of its kind and I wonder if we could Remote view this story and see who or what was behind this and why was it started ?

I see on YouTube there is lots of promotion of Patience Worth and OUIJA boards so I wonder if that wasn't the trick. but anyway I Know Farsight viewers are clever sorts and can see the clever ruses if they are there. It was a huge mystery of its day. Possibly worthy of a Farsight viewing !

There is so much more to the history of Talking Boards - and there are websites and historians that study all aspects of the boards - the design and mechanisms, the planchettes, the experiments, the people who used them. The Historical Talking Board Society is a good start, and also Karen Dahlman.

There have been many books written by those who have used a contact tool to bring messages down and into print. Some using the board as a catalyst until they no longer need the board and can channel the messages directly.

One of the most prolific writers and trance channeler's who first made their initial contact through an Ouija Board, but then went on to trance channel without the use of the board, was Jane Roberts - the Seth books. (21 books - don't quote me) Jane and her husband Robert F. Butts helped bring through the material from Seth - Seth, described himself as an 'energy personality essence no longer focused in physical matter'. But prior to Janes association with Seth, her Ouija Board contact was a 'spirit' called Frank Withers.

I remember seeing that Courtney had read Seth's books and commented on the material - but I cannot remember where that reference is - maybe in a video on the main webpage.

The Ouija Board and Talking Boards, as well the Planchette (automatic writing) has been a tool to bring quite a few significant works to the world. The way I see it , the board is a tool of communication that you can comprehend. The Planchette is the portal devise. Every spectrum of emotional 'colour' can come through that portal, from dark to light. Frequency alignment and intent and purpose, the quality of the questions asked, the information interpretation, the person/s using the tools - so many variables enabling the tool to work.

I don't think the board is a trick, I think its a tool. But I believe the tool has been used and its purpose
misunderstood, especially under the guise of 'entertainment', and that's another story in itself as there were many laws (and still are) in the US that disallowed 'fortune telling', but if its 'entertainment' then the legalities were/are by-passed. It was then put in the realm of theatre - the show, the mystic. When some seriously eye-opening works were being created in conjunction with the use of the Board, it took a long time for people to accept any of it as not being straight from the devil, and only from bad spirits.
Each to their own.
Other countries had been using communication tools such as this to contact spirit and get messages for centuries. Their attitude towards tools as such were not as sensational, their was a level of seriousness to their discipline.

I think contact tools like boards and planchettes (or even remote viewing) are like a bus - you get a good instructor and learn how to drive well, take note of the safety rules, learn the signs, know how and when to use the brake and accelerator and keep to the speed limit you know you can control the vehicle with.

Just some thoughts.

If you have a story about a spirit that writes novels then you have to have someone named Casper the Yost to have written the best book about Patience Worth- its a good read. HIs second name was Casper but his last name was Yost. Love the name and the book too.

If you get a chance to read Patience Worth written by Casper Yost you come away with the question -- what was all this writing about ? And I think it may have been to get people interested in the OUIJA board- which I believe and have heard from other UFO researchers that it is a portal of sorts which calls on dark entities.

Patience Worth appeared shortly before WW1 and then disappeared shortly before WW2- i think there my be some connection to that time period and her arrival and then departure. It could be a good mystery series to view perhaps. Any way it may be a difficult idea to pitch- but I did find her quite interesting and Yost wrote about her as one writes a novel so it was quite readable.
