It is interesting to note that everything can be seen in the light of politics, culture, history, physics, metaphysics etcetera and also as a mixture of any and all, depending on from where or when one views it. It reminds me a bit of that part in Star Wars where Luke asks Yoda: What's in there? (the cave he is about to enter) and Yoda answers: Only what you take with you.
Everything is/can be understood from where/when one views.
I grew up in the fifties and sixties and part of my global life-experiences was the Cuba-crisis, the JFK assassination, the cold war era, the Vietnam war and a multitude of other global events. And, for myself, I found that as I learned more my views became more nuanced.
I am sure that as we move on, there will be many interpretations and I welcome the learning in that :-)
