Unidentified object shot down over Alaskan waters, US Pentagon says
A US fighter jet shot down an unidentified object over icy waters near Alaska on 10 February. This comes a week after the US shootdown of a suspected surveillance balloon from China.
A pair of Lockheed Martin F-22 Raptor jets were involved in the intercept and one of the fighter jets shot down the unidentified object. The object was travelling at an altitude of about 12,000 metres (40,000 feet) and headed in a north-east direction over the Arctic Ocean when it was taken down. It had previously flown over land in Alaska.
The US military has sent helicopters as part of the effort to retrieve the wreckage of the unidentified object, as it may have landed on ice rather than in open waters. A White House spokesperson described the unidentified object as being about the size of a small car.

The US shot down an unidentified airborne object over northern Canada on Saturday, the third time this month that jets were deployed to counter such aerial incursions.
The North American Aerospace Defense Command earlier Saturday said it had identified the high-altitude object. Canadian and US aircraft were scrambled and a US F-22 fighter jet successfully took it down over the Yukon, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said in a tweet.
It's about a 2-hour report. For anyone who doesn't have the time, at about 30 minutes into the report, Daniel says - "...the whole balloon thing, along with these other objects, is to legitimize the AIMSOG UAP(UFO) task force piece inside the government and fund them dramatically and give them powers so that they can take emergency powers at a certain point."
@Edwin - yep its long but it outlines some very important points - considering the people involved - especially those who have power in the Continuity of Government. Once they have a footprint in this - which they have - they can call the shots, and they are literally, and that's what they are doing.
What this does is in effect is take the responsibility of disclosure from the Government and place disclosure in the hands of the Military - and that is going to be no good at all.
It will not surprise me if the CoG is in place by the time the 2024 US Election rolls out.
Their presence is ever creeping and gaining ground in the media.
What we need is for another Country to step up and announce disclosure - not the U.S.
"The FAA closed some airspace in Montana to support Department of Defense activities," the FAA told Fox News Digital in a statement on Saturday evening.
The airspace closed down was in the area around Havre, Montana not far from the U.S. border with Canada.
The FAA said the directive was "effective immediately until further notice."
Montana Republican Rep. Matt Rosendale posted on Twitter that an "object" was spotted over Montana that could potentially interfere with commercial air travel. Rosendale posted after the restriction was lifted that he "will remain in contact with defense officials and share more information as it becomes available" because "Montanans deserve answers."
Shortly after Rosendale's tweet, NORAD issued a statement saying that it "detected a radar anomaly and sent fighter aircraft to investigate."
"Those aircraft did not identify any object to correlate to the radar hits. NORAD will continue to monitor the situation," the statement said.
EDIT 1: DEVELOPING: NARCOM confirms an unknown object has been spotted in the area near Lake Michigan; fighter jets reportedly scrambling to the scene
EDIT 2: Airspace also closed over Ontario
EDIT 3: from Tim McMillan @LtTimMcmillan
UPDATE: All indications suggest NORAD is still hunting *something near the U.S./Canadian border in the Lake Michigan–Huron area. A new NOTAM was just issued by TCCA over Lake Huron, and U.S. military aircraft continue to canvas the area.*
Synchronicity for me here, how can I go 20yrs barely hearing the words Lake Huron (my best friend used to live in a pub called the LH) and within a week I’ve head & talked about it about 5x in completely separate conversations & instances, reading this is another! I think I need to start a thread about synchronicity.
Here's a photo of the lake Huron downed object. Looks like another weather balloon possibly.
Here's footage. I don't know, it might be another balloon like object. However, I've seen a shape shifting metallic UFO similar to this before. It was a metallic blob glinting in the sunlight. It shapeshifted into two diamond kite shaped metallic objects side by side, and then kept going northeast soundlessly.
