Hi, I am going to try my hand at photographing UFOs with Farsight's guidance.
Question: how do you slow down the frame rate? (It is not mentioned in your videos that I can see.)
Is that done in editing software such as Adobe Premiere? Or done before filming with the camera somehow?
Thanks
Citizen UFO photography, questions, feedback, etc.
Watch the series, "Photographing UFOs" (https://www.farsightprime.com/photographing-ufos). You need to take the videos at 120 fps. I will explain thoroughly how to change the rate that the footage is played in the next edition in that series, which will be this month.
OK, thanks Courtney, I watched that one, maybe I missed it. I will be using an iphone.
I have ordered some 3-D glasses. Can you show how to "Macgyver" those lenses for the iPhone?
So, from the front end, you need the raw footage at 120 fps... (If I remember correctly, you mentioned that 120 fps is better than 240 fps for some reason? Is that right?)
I also have the download software "Simple Transfer" - is that a good one? Or do you recommend a better one?
I have Adobe Premiere to do the editing.
A side question I have is why infrared? What quality(s) do the ships have that makes them visible in infrared?
This will be fun! Thanks!

I have rigged up my iPhone with the 3D lenses. With a blue sky I am picking up faint dots of light that remain stationary. Are these stars? I suppose that with the 120 fps I am getting starlight even during the day. There is still a lot of color with the 3D lenses. How can I get deeper into the infrared?
Thanks for help with iPhone shooting.
CK
There's no way to get deeper into the IR range without a specialize camera.
What you're doing with the 3D lens/filter is just blocking out all the other colors thus giving you more contrast in the blue wavelength if you're using the blue filter. You're not seeing anything extra that isn't there already with these cheap filters. These off the shelf 3d glasses are made with very cheap plastic and not optically good for anything other than a classic anaglyph movie. You might as well get some saranwrap and color it with a blue sharpie and be just as good.
The ones you're talking about is the polarized 3d glasses. Amazing technology that I wished more was in demand but sadly garner very few was interest. I had an obsession with 3d anaglyph for a moment so I do have some basic understanding of how they work. I created some 3d anaglyph pictures for my own personal curiosity a while back if anyone is interested. You're going to need a large screen and red/blue 3d glasses. https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100083175734572
Thanks Vong for the info. So what is the air traffic controller guy doing differently using his cell phone? Any suggestions other than saran wrap, ha ha!
Courtney seems to think you can do it with your cell phone but the question then, is how to filter for infrared?
Not entirely sure, I will have to go back and watch it again.
The closest you can get to the IR range is with the red filter. With any modern DSLR and cell phone cameras is that there's already a built in filter to remove the IR and UV wavelength to produce the best color quality possible or the sensor itself isn't designed to capture those wavelengths to begin with. With the red/blue filter you're just simply enhancing the already existing colors with contrast.
My recommendation is to get a dedicated astrophotography monochromatic camera such as the SVBony SV305M and get yourself a IR filter somewhere in the 700+nm wavelength. This will filter for anything outside of visible light that you wouldn't need anyways.
Spec highlights for the SV305M:
-Max Framerate: 130FPS (1920x1080) / 500FPS(320x240)
-Wavelength Range: 350nm - 1100nm (this is well outside of visible light and enough to capture UV and IR)
-Price - $250 (camera only)

True IR requires a completely different sensor with a different lens material. Regular glass will not work with a true IR sensor.
Wow, ok thanks Vong. Great info
Hi SJ,
Regarding RVing UFO’s, I went on one of Dr. Greer's CE5’s in ‘93(?) -had some cool results. He was teaching some remote viewing on that course as well. Good psychic connections with the visitors by many in the group before we went out at night. Lots of orbs the first night. Big event happened the second night!
Would like to get this photography thing going though, as a fun hobby. If they are as plentiful as Courtney is saying they are, it would be great to have many people doing it.
Just did some research on photographing IR on iPhones.
This link shows a good description with links for purchasing proper IR filters and inexpensive clip-on lens holder for smart phones. (I don't think the 3D movie filter thing will be productive.)
Courtney, are you still getting results? Don't see anything new on your Instagram... Are those good clips you show over and over ones you took or are they from the air traffic controller fellow? I'm a little confused as to who shot what.
Also, the RV session of the Cigar Shape Over Atlanta revealed not a cigar shape but a disk and there was nothing about Atlanta. Why was it over Atlanta? Many unanswered questions!
If UAV's are so plentiful and easy to capture on video, please post more clips! Working on getting my own without spending a lot of $.
Thanks
Oh yes it's definalty due able... I've done it and my mind was and still is blown I wish we were able to load videos and pictures to these fourms... I have very positive things thst are un denyably true
