This isn't science, ok, just my thoughts... I can see that dietary regimes or products of one kind or another can be helpful but it comes across as treatment for an ailment which, if given too much emphasis, could become a kind of crutch. Ideally, one should instinctively gravitate towards a diet which would be appropriate for the individual and as it turns out I'm going more for veg stew and salad in place of my previous carnivorous diet out of preference.
Too much focus on it can be debilitating. It might cause stress if one can't, for some reason, obtain the chosen diet or supplement. I think it's like fluoride in the water, pollution in the air and so on. Trying to counter it with physical means is playing the game by their rules. Fretting. I believe in a healthy dose of bloody-mindedness. I tell my body "I pay you to deal with the chemical issues without my micromanagement so damn' well get on with it." Seems to be working so far...
