In the thread "How the amnesia mechanism works", I started an approach to get behind the physics of the death traps. The replies show that we need a better understanding of the difference between the "non-physical" state of the ISBE and the physical state we are all familiar with.
1. My intuition tells me that our concept of "non-physicality" is wrong. Most people use the word "physics" to describe "what is touchable". But by that definition, radio waves for example would not be physical, as they are not touchable. In reality though, radio waves exist – they are touchable indirectly, meaning you need a radio to "touch" them.
Conclusion: The body is for the ISBE what the radio is for the radio wave. The ISBE is not a non-physical being, because physical means "able to be in touch with reality", and the ISBE is in touch with reality through the body.
This leads to the question:
2. When the ISBE is a physical being, why does it need the body at all to be in touch with reality?
Speculation: Because everything essentially is frequency based on numbers, reality consists of "layers of touchability". When being in the right frequency, direct touchability appears or disappears. But that does not affect existence itself, because energy can't be destroyed.
Illustration: Think of your "soul" as a radio wave and your body as the radio. DNA is the "antenna" that is needed to be "tuned-in". The layer of touchability we call physical reality is just one of many. Consciousness perceives the layer as touchable when it's tuned-in to a body that belongs to that layer.
This leads to the question:
3. How is the ISBE able to change the body?
Speculation: Regarding the radio wave example, there seem to be two ways to change the body:
A) Destroy the body. The ISBE is cut off violently, because the radio does not function anymore.
B) Change the frequency (consciousness) of the ISBE itself. The body would function, but the ISBE is sending on the wrong channel, so to speak. From our point of view, the person would fall into a coma or die from organ failure.
The second option seems to be what the zapping mechanism is doing. The zapping changes the frequency violently, and while in that state, the ISBE is put into a handicapped body. Without the zapping, the ISBE wouldn't choose or even not be able to animate that body, because the body is "too small".
This leads to the question:
4. How is the ISBE put into a body violently?
At that point, we could use RV to look at the first time when that was done. Especially a DMP of the one discovering or inventing the zapping mechanism would be very interesting. It could yield the knowledge of how to protect ISBEs from being hooked.
