When and where would you land?

Just as an off-shoot of another thread.

Disclosure doesn't actually mean that any ETs are actually going to show themselves - even if it's 'catastrophic'.

Apparently, there might be a bit of upset amongst the Earth human community. And, as is quite obvious from the way the 'disclosure' (basically meaning, acknowledgement by the US MIC) has been going, that it's something that many want to have controlled (ie, misinformation to their benefits - 'catastrophic' disclosure is only catastrophic to those who have been lying about it for the last few decades... or centuries.... or millennia...).

However.... if, for some reason (actually, a quite sane and logical one) you were a 'good ET', and you wanted to come out of the (massive galactic) closet - how and where would you do it?

Personally, I'm thinking - *NOT* in any Five-Eyes country! Because the media is far too controlled, as is the government (and thus, military). Also, not in China, Russia, nor obviously North Korea.

I'm thinking - probably France, Germany, Italy... maybe Switzerland (but, Davos...) or the Scandinavian countries.

Maybe at a large UN meeting.

Or, best yet, probably at a huge sports event like the Olympics opening ceremony (billions watching), or maybe a football World Cup. (would the events still go ahead? Or would it all just get ignored in the shock and wonder of finally knowing we've never been alone?)

How would you know it wasn't fake???

(I am. of course, presuming they'd give some sort of wonderful speech upon arrival... "We come in peace" type of thing. (I *don't* think they'd announce that this has been a prison planet, although they'd probably hint at most religions being wrong))

I do also presume they have the technology to control information... such as ensuring the internet doesn't get taken over by nefarious forces... or that they get shot down by errant military (which is one reason it can't happen in the aforementioned countries - although, they could get away with it in Australia - but no-one would notice :p ... besides, if they stepped outside the craft, they'd be instantly killed by all the crocodiles, snakes, spiders, drop-bears, etc.... besides, can you imagine their opening speech?? "G'day world mate! Howyagoin? Yeah, aliens here... we come in peace - yeah, nah".)

So - any thoughts!

It's going to happen sometime.... what's the best way for it to go down?

I have certainly thought about it and considered that a Super-Bowl Event (or Olympics) would get the Most-Attention, how-ever, then I remembered the potential for there to end up being a Hot-War (visible to the public) with the «Bad E.T.s» erupting, rather than the Cold-War (invisible to the public) that is going on now; the manner in which to go about it without (potentially) resulting in mass-civilian-casualties... well...

...I honestly & truly cannot think of anything that doesn't first involve or require «Catastrophic-Disclosure» /before/ we could get anywhere that is useful or fruitful to Planetary Liberation...
