Years back I tried to pick up meditation (didn't take to it really). One evening I tried it out with binaural beats. I was sitting there with headphones on and some minutes in I felt like small charges jumping between the two sides of the brain. Tingling charges that grew in intensity. I freaked out a bit, fearing im damaging myself in some ways I reached for my headphones several times to stop this experience but then decided to ride it out. The tingles spread, my head was full of it and then its just continued down my body, my hands start to tingle just like thousands of ants running in them, those charges just kept spreading and filled my whole body and I felt like I started vibrating and that feeling started to grow. When I was full of this vibration I had kind of lost all sensation of my body I was like this vibrating space and then it grew out of my body. I felt like I was this vibration that spread like half way across the room. I was like a cloud of vibration not sure where my body starts or ends. Freakiest thing I've ever experienced. I didn't try it again but the experience have stayed with me. I guess its part of the reason I found myself here now, trying to learn what's possible. Anyone has any idea what was that about?
All the best to all of you!

The first time I learned how to do Meditation (from Traditional Martial Arts style so no technology nor Binaural-Beats nor Isochronic-Tones involved), I decided to practice it even as I was falling asleep, and, eventually, one night came where I felt like I was engulfed within what felt like some sort of Electrical-Vortex; I then felt myself being aware of being above my still-sleeping physical-body in some other form, and, the first thought was : «OMG, what just happened, did I just die ?»
Then I had some sort of experience which would look a lot like some sort of fight-scene in a movie where I was moving a lightning fast high-speed avoiding and avoiding these high-speed tentacle-attacks and just zipping around, kind of getting an idea that my thoughts seemed to be related to causing and triggering those tentacle-attacks, but, simultaneously, I had enough of a high-speed thought-process to where I could also simultaneously evade, move out of the way, dodge, regardless of how many dozens of attacks were being launched per second, with just my thoughts alone to move my body or what-ever was the equivalent of what-ever kind of «body» I may have had since I was obviously in a non-physical-form.
I eventually woke up of course, but, yeah, the first time you experience these things, you might freak out, because it's so different from normal physical-life; I mean, the first time it happened, I really thought that I may have died or inadvertently caused my own death through meditating the wrong way, but, I was actually meditating correctly; I think what is truly important to recognise in your thoughts is that your thoughts can literally influence the thoughts of others so if you think of yourself as a victim or a target then you might end up creating an uncomfortable atmosphere for yourself; if, how-ever, you can think of yourself as more of a sovereign, whom nobody even dares mess with or trifle with, then, you can certainly think of everything else around you as your «loyal subjects» who make sure that no harm comes to you.
Anyway, once you get used to meditations, and, even leaving your physical-body, you should eventually learn about how your very thoughts do affect and control what you experience during that out-of-body or lucid-dreaming or similar state; it's significantly about thought-control
