You know I'm the logic guy, so here's an example of how my brain works:
Premise 1: The death traps detain the prisoners on planet Earth.
Premise 2: The UAP involved in human trafficking brought the victims to another planet.
Conclusion: People that are alive – meaning attached to a physical body from our point of view – are not detained by the death traps.
This would explain why we've had no real progress with public space programs for decades. There is no trap for the living, at least no physical one. That's why they need the psy-ops:
