I found Farsight on youtube when Courtney did an interview for New Thinking Allowed, and I was fascinated that you can so easily film them. Watched some more interviews, and tried looking for photos and videos of UFO, but I was unable to find any. After some time I signed to Farsightprime - but still can't find anyone sharing these photos, if you know any website that does, please let me know. I also heard about people filming them with phone cameras and decided to see how much would it cost, decided to risk and spend ~100eur to buy some equipment for my Iphone.
Tools that I use:
Camera: iPhone 15 pro
Phone case: https://www.amazon.de/dp/B0D2HVTGHN
Filter (67 mm, IR680): https://www.amazon.de/dp/B08121Q62Fx
Filter adapter for phone: https://www.amazon.de/dp/B0D7YT7FVH
Fiming 4k 60 fps, default settings. I'm also located in Europe. Because the phone case filter adapter doesn't fit perfectly, I don't want to scratch my phone. Due to the filter not fitting perfectly probably colors are not perfect either for the filter.
So far I filmed three videos and all of them have some interesting anomalies.
First video - 1min
Second video - 3min
Third video - 10min
All these videos were made from the balcony of my flat, which is on the 6th floor. All videos have birds in them and I believe that is a good sign because they just prove that these anomalies are not the birds.
All feedback is welcome, I don't claim these findings are UFO, they are just strange compared to birds and planes that I see from my window. I will try to create one post per one video with all findings, if you have any recommendations on where to upload videos and photos let me know.
FYI -Filming was not a problem for me, but processing the huge files was. I have an old computer and it was getting really hot - red lining! So you have to have some computing power to analyze these…
So far I filmed 4 videos (today was really bad weather, so I filmed only once), and so far all of the videos had something interesting, just need time to figure out iMovie application and create some videos. I didn't expect to find anything with my amateur setup (compared to Panasonic Lumix GH6 setup). I wrote a small script in python that does almost all of the processing and it helped me find exact point of all UFO in my video, currently if I film 10 minutes at 4k 60fps, it takes around 1 hour to process (script is single threaded and I have MacBook M1), and after processing it takes around 15 - 30 min to review results and then create the actual video.
Now that I proved to myself that I can capture and find them, I will try to improve the script to work much faster, and somehow find resources to get better equipment.
What filter did you use? did you manage to capture anything interesting?
My lens was a K720 infrared, mounted on an iPhone. All my equipment is pretty old and since I’m retired, I don’t want to invest in faster processing. I was using adobe premiere, which really really takes a lot of processing power. I didn’t take the time to look at my footage in depth because my computer was overheating. So to answer your question no, I didn’t get anything, only stars during daytime, which was kind of interesting!
Do you still have your equipment? I would like to process videos taken by others, different device, different filters, and just see how it looks. If you could film ~10min of clear sky with 4k 60fps, I could do all the processing and share results.
