The wipe isn't a wipe, it works more like anesthesia. Memories can't be wiped, because whatever happened in reality is true, and what is true can be seen (so called principle of knowability).

Have you considered the possibility of false implanted memories, or an implant that redirects you to another target? My guess is that there must be such implants to prevent hypnosis to reveal the truth. A viewer who doesn't know you should be able to circumvent this, because he's not affected by the implants.

It is definitely not anesthesia. The anesthesia is simply being born in a human body in this age of programming and psychic suppression. Without the psychic suppression, one can view the past.

Yes, my past life was on Earth, but before the last great flood that reset humanity. But don't take my word for it, Intysam described a similar thing (I viewed it before she wrote her similar experience in the AMA so I guess you can call that a valid viewing). Which makes me question, perhaps it is the FS data being compromised is misinterpreted. They saw the soul being zapped, but it's impossible to tell what it does from an RV. They only deduced it as being a mind wipe. But the key point is that they deduced/interpreted it.

Interestingly, Airl doesn't goe into details, and she never mentions that the traps are limited to Earth. Instead, she often speaks of "this end of the galaxy". That principle is called Occam's razor, and it can be misleading. Let me use Plato's allegory of the cave to explain what I mean:

If you apply Occam's razor while watching the cave wall, you will always come to the conclusion that there is only the wall and the shadows, because it's a much simpler solution. You will never turn around and leave the cave, because that wouldn't be simple.

Discarding possibilities based on a low probability is never a good idea, because if you learn something new you didn't know before, you have to readjust the probabilities.

Yes, because it's so easy to do: Implant a memory that is hidden and will be unlocked if the person accesses it under hypnosis. The person will believe that it's the true memory because it was hidden and required some work to unravel.

Maybe it's a language thing, as English is not my first language, but wiping means destroying the information such that the information is lost for all times. If that was the case, any memory of past lives would have to be false memory, because the true memory has been wiped.

But this theory contradicts the premise that energy can't be destroyed. The memory is a form of energy. If they can't destroy it, the only remaining possibility is a cut-off to make the memory unaccessible. I chose the term anesthesia to describe that cut-off state. It all boils down to how memory is accessed, and that the process of accessing the memory can be adulterated if the being doesn't know how memory works, and how to distinguish between correct and incorrect memories.

Occam's razor helps you with the probabilities. It can't tell what is true or false.
