For example, in Germany and Austria, people are forced to pay for state media by law, and the money is used for propaganda. When the Covid Plandemic hit, many people saw how biased the media was. An alternative media company – AUF1 – was founded, and it is funded completely voluntarily. They don't force anybody to pay for it, and it works very well.

Canada as well. CTV and CBC are state funded propaganda media outlets. Trudeau takes tax money and reinvests it into his own little mouthpieces, but it's backfiring now as the power will shift from the far left to center left with the Conservatives so they're calling him out on his BS.

CB would have a hard time maintaining takedowns which don't breach that principle, in terms of "fair and justified" documents. This is the balance used in terms of determining the worth of a document or comment, in terms of Parliamentary/Lawful precedent origins. It costs money to host content. Fact. Cloud space is not "free", even when it is paid for by advertizing revenue or direct donations to the person responsible for maintaining the content available to the end user.

If you think there is no cost involved, then all I can say is, it's cost me quite a lot in terms of money in having access to content, and TBH I generally haven't bothered accessing other people's content very much, even though I have paid my financial dues in the general area of "paid for internet access".

I think I have screwed up priorities, and I have learned a lot from doing things ass-backwards. Moving forward, I am totally OK with the idea of people making money from doing great content.

If you're making YT Shorts or TikTok the "Fair Use" doctrine doesn't guarantee that your videos will stay up if the owner decides to report it.

If you're making commentaries and taking small sound bits than that has less of a chance of being taken down but it's still possible, I've seen it.
