"Self aware does not automatically mean self serving,"
Self-serving is not a bad thing. You can serve yourself and others at the same time. The whole free market is based on that idea.

"Hey, the whole point of a government is to make unpopular decisions that need to be made to ensure group survival."
Just let the group split if survival is at stake – group A goes this way and group B that way. That's how free people would deal with it. Governments were invented by people who wouldn't survive the splitting of the tribe. They use violence to override the free choice of a father to pay for his children first.
"Deal with maritime law, hurricanes, pirates, and a really hostile environment. Find out how nasty mother nature can be..."
Government doesn't prevent any of these things.
"You want to have freedom but you aren't prepared to pay for a military?"
See, you have a smartphone, a car, a bathroom and sanitation, food, shelter, all the good stuff, without giving the money to your government first. Why shouldn't that be possible with the police and military?
"They haven't worked out how you get a defence budget out of blockchain yet."
You haven't either. I'm working on it.
I have removed all of my comments on these Fora due to ongoing jealous hostility by certain posters
"While those who need credit, have to pay extra to pay those in the black. Which is how some people are perpetually in need, and others have no needs."
A credit doesn't create a perpetual need. If you build a business and it works, you can arrive at black figures, too. A perpetual need of credit just means that you are creating things that don't work. Why should anybody subsidize that?
"Manuel, the whole reason upon which we have national maritime agencies is as an active detterent against piracy."
Yes. And you can do that without a government, just like you can have a railroad police to protect railroads and trains. Why do you need a government? It doesn't add anything useful to the equation.
"You are somewhat overestimating my physical existence in terms of comfort and thinking that actually I have the same level as yourself."
So you need a government to give you a wind proof shelter because you can't accomplish it yourself?
"The Military-Industrial complex is a global concern now. It extends beyond national borders, as an international cartel whose interests are purely for its own survival rather than maintaining creature comforts of individual civilians."
Sounds like the pirates have outsmarted the national states.
"If I am not part of the solution, I am part of my own set of problems, and it's up to me to take responsibility to resolve my own problems."
So why do you need the government then?
