I had a similar dream a few years ago, but I interpreted it as a nuclear shock wave which began at the horizon and quickly rolled toward me. The weird thing was that I was looking out the panoramic window of an apartment that seemed like it was a mile above the ground. My thought at the time was, "Oh well, I guess that's it." When the shock wave hit me, I woke up.
