I decided to make this a new thread, because it's a fascinating topic.

In the "I remember an entire civilization" thread, Tazz describes his resurfacing memories of a past civilization that encountered 4D beings:

"That's a remarkable claim, because how can 3D beings verify that? Or was it that the other beings were just claiming to be 4D beings and everybody believed it?

I'm not saying that this encounter didn't happen, or that those beings weren't 4D. I'm just curious how they proved their 4D nature to 3D beings, and if they haven't, why the civilization you remember trusted them."

He wrote:

"Imagine you had multitude of bodies you control simultaneously, and each body wouldn't work good independently but becomes reliable when combined with all the other bodies. But none of these bodies are stacked beside or on top of each other. They still all exist somewhat parallel. And between them is still a texture and substance that morphs between bodies."

My answer:

I get what you mean. 4D is logically consistent if you assume that the 4th dimension extends through time or different layers of reality, so that's not the problem.

So, when encountering 4D beings, you either see a "net" representation, which is one of many unfolded states of the being, or you see the "3D shadow" of all the different bodies at once, which would look like different bodies flowing through each other just like with the tesseract animation.

The fact that you describe a "multitude of bodies" indicates that whatever you remember, there seemed to be an understanding of what 4D actually means, which is fascinating. So, they didn't present themselves as a net, because then you wouldn't be able to distinguish them from other 3D beings, as a net is just a 3D body.

In the framework of special relativity and general relativity, the fourth dimension is TIME, forming what’s called spacetime. In this view, the universe is described as having four dimensions: three spatial dimensions (length, width, height) and one temporal dimension (time).
Spacetime is a four-dimensional continuum where objects and events are located not just by their spatial coordinates but also by the time at which they occur. The concept of spacetime curvature, caused by mass and energy, is central to understanding gravity in Einstein's theory.

In Mathematics and Geometry:
The fourth dimension can be purely spatial, extending the three familiar dimensions (length, width, and height) by adding a fourth coordinate. This idea is hard to visualize because humans live in a three-dimensional world, but mathematically it is treated like any other geometric dimension. A 4D hypercube (also known as a tesseract) is an example of a geometric object in four dimensions.
Higher-dimensional spaces are often used in fields like abstract geometry and linear algebra to describe objects that exist in more than three dimensions, even though these objects may not have a direct physical representation.

If the 4th dimension is time, we all would be 4-dimensional beings. You would have different bodies seperated by time – your body yesterday would be connected to your body today, and so on. This could be true, but I have one logical problem with this notion:

If time is the 4th dimension to 3D beings like us, our 3rd dimension would be time for 2D beings, which is clearly not the case. 2D beings also have time just like we have, and even 1D beings would have time. So, time is a constant that occurs in all spatial dimensions, while spatial dimensions can be added and subtracted.

Because of this simple logic, I'm leaning towards the possibility that the 4th dimension is not time, but a spatial dimension we can't imagine. That way, all dimensions would be logically consistent.

So, Tazz described the 4D beings as having a "multitude of bodies" that are connected to each other. Where are these bodies if the 4th dimension is not time? Well, from our point of view, they would exist in the same place, just like a 3D object exists "within its shadow" on a 2D plane. We would see all the bodies at once, but couldn't make sense of them.

4D beings could even be invisible to our eyes, as we can't "look up", so to speak. But we could connect with them telepathically.

If I were a 4D being, I would choose a certain "shadow form" to represent me within 3D space, so 3D beings would be able to make sense of my appearance. But in that state, I wouldn't be able to prove my 4D nature to them, as they are just observing a 3D body I have chosen for contact.

Funny thing is we even have trouble comprehending the 3 spatial dimensions we live in, let alone constituting 4. Pretty much all of our information communications happens on a 2d conceptual framework. We look at stuff on 2d images, read and write and also translate sound in forms of 2d. Physicists certainly argue that there could be more than 3 spatial dimensions, in fact that there might be 10. I was fascinated with this from a very early age but unfortunately my follow through has very much sucked. It's as if some distant era I said to myself "I don't get it" and I was born saying "yeah I still don't get it"

Fun enough though I tried making 4d mazes. You can totally make a 4d maze with graph paper. Let me know if you want to try.
