"But how can that be reality unless you discount everything everyone else has experienced just because you yourself haven't experienced it."
Because experience is interpretation of reality, and interpretation can be wrong.
"So this goes back to the view point that nothing exists outside yourself and unless you yourself experience it it doesn't exist."
Which is called Solipsism. I don't believe in that, because it makes you a nihilist eventually. I believe in an objective reality in the form of a universe created by God, embedded within a multiverse also created by God, embedded within the mental realm which is God.
"So then you're not actually learning anything here instead trying to reinforced your own protective bubble rather than expanding your knowledge and with it truth."
See, this is a statement that proves that you are a religionist in principle. You want to "expand truth" just like a religionist wants to expand his religion. But that's not how it works. Truth is already there for you to discover, you can't expand it.
"I take other people's experiences and then see if anything I've learned matches up with that in any way creating connections."
I do the same, but with one important difference: I acknowledge that people can be wrong, myself included, and if that's the case, there is no connection possible.
"We are all like neurons in a brain and each neuron brings one level of experience to the overall mind which can then experience far more than just as an individual."
That's essentially correct. But you dismiss the role of the universe and natural law. Think of it as the background of the experience, like the canvas of a painting. The background must be consistent for the experience to work. Every experience that is contradicting the laws of the universe is either a dream (within the mental realm) or a delusion.
Not every experience is true. If all experience were true, there would be no need for physical universes.
The consistency of the background matters.
