lol was in use since the 60's and indigenous tribes!
The metal U- or horseshoe shape pointing downwards is not good from a dowsing perspective. Might collect negative energy from the ground. I am sure those tribes had wooden (from select positive species) or gold (strongly positive) rings and/or closed ring shapes.

yes but not wooden i believe, at least some tribes, more like the bone of an animal for example.
