My obvious questions would be - how often do such fogs come through? How often have they been checked the same way, and what were the results? (and then, of course, are there natural reserves of it somewhere nearby that would make sense for them to be there??? Such as an everglade or swamp or something??)
It's somewhat appropriate that you refer to the covid jabs, because when that virus was first announced (in Wuhan), my first questions were similar... "OMGs - look at how many are dying here.." Yeah, but what's actually the normal death rates from whatever other viruses are hanging around each year? That lack of information was important - and almost impossible to get!

Since the new year started, there's ~90% of the time fog where I live. It's not unusual in the winter time in Germany, but I can't remember fog staying for days like this. We had a sunny day yesterday – which is funny because it was Sunday – but before that, literally the whole week completely foggy. And today, fog again...
I also don't feel like I want to go outside.
