A long time ago, we heard about a plan to modernize the forum by adding a chat with Farsight Institute members. It was a great idea. We should not drop it but rather adjust it so it can work again.

The first AMA with Aziz was just great! We were dropping all kinds of questions—RV-related and not. I was checking the forum almost daily for answers from Aziz. And then you killed it. You narrowed it down to AMA sessions only about RV.

My advice: Let’s go back to the original AMA format, where we could ask any questions—about RV or any other topics of our choice. Yes, I understand that we should limit it to two questions per person, but I insist that we live in times when we should be open and able to ask anything. I do understand that Farsight wants to promote RV, but look—the RV-only AMA had much less interest compared to the first AMA, where we could ask about anything.

Let’s make it interesting again! Allow us to ask any questions we like and have a fun and lively interaction between Farsight and subscribers.

I don't think it was Courtney specifically that "killed" AMA. I think we started flooding them with awkward questions. I know I did. Lol. What can I say. I want to stir tge damn pot, to hell with pleasantries.

I liked the idea of "one question per member" as a good gatekeeper but I feel like "RV questions only" was a but limiting. Aziz was pretty willing to go balls to the wall. But then there's a number of things giving him a bit of freedom. One he's the bosse's son. Two he's a starseed. Probably he gets to leave this damn planer after death, guaranteed. Two-way ticket, doesn't have to worry as much maybe? Dunno

This is not quite relevant to AMA but I think another thing that Farsight is hoping is that those of us not keeping busy with RV but posting on forums, I think they're hoping we tey to pull their projects together and state opinions they don't feel as much at liberty to state based on their viewings. But I think we almost never do that. Instead we just say random things everywhere lol. There's a Japanese expression for this. しょうがない

You have my full understanding of your point. I found the initial AMA session with Aziz totally interesting because we could submit any question to him as it kept the dialogue flowing. The restriction to RV questions diminished the excitement during the discussion. Restoring the original AMA structure would enable viewers to submit any question for discussion. While the current policy allows only two questions from each person it remains uninteresting and should be made more open-ended.

when live AMA with ETs, that would be fun.
