When you think of peer to peer internet aka open internet aka lawless internet you almost immediately get a troll saying "what about the pedophiles using it to traffick their pornography and all their human trafficking exploits?"
But the immediate appropriate response: You mean like they do all over the world today? As an internationally government sponsored organization? And they just select customers that they screen for privacy?
The truth is: Those dumb enough to make this kind of content available on the open internet (I mean true open internet not this joke we're typically on) are taking a big risk (which is a good thing). Making real bodies do intimate things on video comes with a lot of inevitable unique markers and mistakes are unavoidable. Something, anything, that identifies a unique individual on a missing person's database, the customer's unique identity, some clue about the location. Think about what happens when the general public manages to piece together the location of said individuals sooner than any trusted authority does? And oh yes. The minute you have a video you can remote view it!
So while a true peer to peer internet will expose the world to its dark horrors, its affect will really mean nothing to your virgin eyes or the eyes of your family members. Censorship becomes a matter of internal screening programmed on your device, not some big guru in the sky that deems what's appropriate for you to see.
Do you really think X is letting you see everything? Do you really think Trump wants you to know the truth? If enough people start operating on true peer to peer, it becomes simply impossible to terminate and no one will control information transfer. The quest is not about finding the right person to lead. The quest is about getting civilization to a state where monastic leadership is simply impossible.
