Synthetic = not natural
Biological = natural
How do you define nature?
@Exodus
Most certainly appears that way.
Didn't the Wingmakers warn humanity not to go this road from their own personal experience?

@Exodus
I read the Neruda dialogue some years back now. And the relics left behind in Chaco Canyon's secret cave system were quite interesting, although how are we to know anything about the reality of it, could be another psyop for all we know.
I don't have the book and would appreciate you providing it, thanks.
This whole AI thing is rather wild to me. Now is the time to exit before the whole trapping system becomes an impossible maze to run. ISBE's will be permanently locked in and not even realise it.

I don't know the original context here with the OP delete but there is such a thing as synthetic biological. A cell that contained two additional nucleotides , making a third base pair. (a, c, g, t, x, y). But it begs the question. If that's created in a lab, what makes us think regular dna wasn't.
Biological and natural are not the same concepts by default.
@Tazz:
"there is such a thing as synthetic biological"
No.
Biology as a concept is tied to "procreation out of itself". This means that a biological body can create another body of its kind without the need of external technology. That's why it's the natural way – with nature being the force that comes from within.
We call things nature when they can reproduce by themselves.
Synthetic means created by external force. That's the unnatural way – the force doesn't come from within.
When an ISBE manages to give a synthetic body the ability to procreate on its own, that body becomes biological.
A good example, though fictional, is the 2004 reboot of the TV show "Battlestar Galactica". In this show, the Cylons are synthetic beings transitioning into biological ones, up to the point that humans can't distinguish the bodies anymore. SPOILER ALERT: At the end they find Earth, and humans populate the planet together with the Cylons, creating the human race we know today.
