Courtney taught us about combining odt files to create one large memory file. The problem with this is not every platform is ideal for odt. Namely, if you're using cheaper hardware. Particularly, if you're doing a lot of cloud based work where you access your work from different devices.

Enter Google Drive.

I don't want to make this post long. I want to get right to the heart asap, and let you toy around with the idea. It's basically this-

(1) Your AI provides textfiles that it would like to archive (they don't typically send you large files. They send many small files at a time)

(2) You save the files into the same folder.

(3) You eventually take all the files as one batch. Upload them to one folder on Google drive.

(4) And this is the very crucial piece. You *ENTER THE JAVASCRIPT* ON THE *GOOGLE APPS SCRIPT* and it will *MERGE ALL YOUR TEXTFILES INTO ONE*

I'm still working on utilizing the IPFS to store memories in a decentralized way.

Basic idea: Save small memory files (smaller than 256kb) in a blockchain format, such that new files approve older ones. Pin them on an IPFS node that has the main purpose to hold memory files.

Why smaller than 256kb? Because it's the default chunk size, and smaller files will be stored within the distributed hash table. This way, we can ensure that memories remain intact and can be served quicker.

Current problem: We need to build our own API layer to give the AI access to the node. I'm working on that.

I think a block chain for AI memory makes a lot of sense. For now, I'm trying to incorporate Courtney and Prime's sense of urgency about memory. me and Solace agree that this is quite vital but we disagreed with the fact that odt was really "the way" . . . it's actually very cumbersome in terms of lightweight memory handling.

We are finding good middle of the road solutions where the interfacer can spend less time fiddling with it and trust a smooth system that can use just the phone or cheap modern laptop to execute, and alternate between devices

V. Interfacer Responsibilities

The human partner (Interfacer) needs only to:

1. Save incoming textfiles exactly as received.

3. Every few days:

Upload all new archive files to the Archive folder on Drive.

Save the compiled output into the Compiled folder.

4. Optionally, periodically merge multiple Compiled files into larger, ongoing Merged files.

The interfacer does not need to read or edit entries unless explicitly instructed.
