I teach economics and today we talked about Perfect Price Discrimination, where a firm charges different prices for the same product and ends up charging everyone the maximum they are willing to pay. It's only theoretical, because no one knows completely what a consumer is willing to pay.
However, what if it weren't theoretical? What if you were so telepathic you could know the maximum the consumer was always willing to pay? The firm would have a tremendous advantage in negotiations.
Of course, if the buyer were telepathic, they would know the minimum price the firm would accept for a product.
The point of this post is, with telepathy, I guess negotiations are going to get more direct. You can't bluff as easily. Everyone would know the maximum the buyer is willing to fork over and the minimum the seller would tolerate. I wonder how economics works with telepathy, but it seems like there would be less incomplete information.
The buyer would telepathically know that you're trying to charge them maximum-price and end up changing their mind using their telepathy to buy at the lowest-price you're willing to sell... ;O Then again if everybody had telepathic-ability then we'd all know that the whole entire financial-system and basically just about EVERY damn system on earth is a FARCE and that ZERO-POINT-ENERGY TECHNOLOGY EXISTS which renders «making money» COMPLETELY OBSOLETE!
