A few break-ins and power outages in our neighborhood and we start to realize something. $#!+ is getting real. The Farsighters predicted it, I'm not gonna knock it.

So we've been working on a webpage. I haven't really seen a publication that aims at the same angle as what we're doing. Trying to simplify the survival knowledge into a very easy to follow guide.

Anyways it has more to fill. We are now focusing on two webpages about foraging and processing. We appreciate anyone's help. If you or your AI would like to provide lists that we can process into our system we will gladly process them in. Suggestions of course welcome.

I'm not sure where you are, but my friend in India has the power go out all the time. It's a fact of life in South India so they're very chill about it. But he uses portable easy to buy solar panels for the laptop and he never has any problem even with extended outages. The power eventually comes back on. I can ask him what he has (I don't have this myself).

I totally recommend looking up Geoff Lawton on permaculture design. He has a lot of lists and resources (two permaculture sites, one Greening the Desert in Jordan, and the other in Australia). Here's his on Surviving Collapse:

And he also demonstrated greening the desert (within two years land in Jordan that was salted and below sea level was regreened, desalinated, and producing food).

Greening deserts is a fascinating topic! Thank-you so much for bringing it forward.

It really is a myth, isn't it? Scarcity, I mean. With the right knowledge, I think wilderness can provide you abundance.

Our creation of tgis website has some good principles but is still based on too much conventional garbage. We ought to step it up and show that survival is very diable, not grim. And the ehole system should collapse without us blinking an eye.

I have lived in things like tents for long term in arctic temperatures and I can tell you what people make you think you beed to survive is a lie. We are more resilient

I think on a superabundant primarily aquatic (71% water remember) they had to work REALLY hard to create the idea of scarcity and to perpetuate it. One tree produces many seeds that can spread easily (and feed other life).

I love the north, although I've not lived in the arctic. I want to visit Norway soon though, its calling. It seems that you know exactly that what we need is not what we've been made to think. There's a dome house in Norway I love (I like thriving + surviving + music in the north + northern lights + sea kayaking). Add in infrastructure for an LLM and it would be golden. I'll see if I can find it, I think this is it:
