Just to put it too briefly to do this question about the origins of the doctrine of the Trinity any justice, key bible verses that typically come up in the church Fathers to describe this concept that took a a few hundred years to develop:

(no particular order importance, there are others lifted up too, please forgive spelling errors, typing fast).

This is not to convince you or anything, just to answer your question to the best i can do here briefly. You can find these convincing or not. If you want to go deeper, reading Athanasius book On the incarnation of the Word or the letters between he and alexander of alexandria. Origen's on first principles is another good resource. I don't really like tertullian but his letters (latin writer) use a bunch of these. Plus others like Ireneus and the Cappadocian Fathers who are the best (and augustine the most famous). all of these use lots of scripture to make a variety of particular arguments but these verses come to mind for me as ones used fairly often.

1) matthew 9:2-8: Here Jesus does something that only the Father can do, Forgive sins. This upsets people as blasphemy. In the early Christological controversies, this is sometimes lifted up a sign that the Messiah is more than a person, but one who has similar nature to the father, the one who can forgive sins.

2) John 1 - Jesus here is discussed as the Logos, one that exists out time. This becomes repeated verse used during the Arian dispute. Arius of Alexandria and Athanasius are both looking a this verse (though we don't have much original material from Arius) and the big question is not whether Jesus is just a man or God, what type of God. Arius wants to say he is a "god" like Zeus, perhaps even the greater of all these secondary gods. His argument is that he must have been created like everything else even though Jesus he would say is the highest created being. Athanasius argues that while Jesus as the Logos is contigent on the Father (creator) for being, there was no time that the eternal son (logos) was not - he was begotten not created. This is all during the Council of Nicea, by the time you get to the council of Constantinople, they finally further define the divinity of the Spirit. The big idea is that there are 3 beings that are uncreated (father, eternal son - that later becomes incarnate, holy spirit), everything/one else is created.

It is a conceptual framework of what kind of being jesus and the spirit are and if they share the same nature of the father or not. 1 nature, 3 persons is what is finally voted on in 325

5) Philippians 2 - this is perhaps the oldest chapter in the new testament, a hymn found in one of paul's early letters. described jesus as being humiliated as a slave and as the lowest and then a super high exaltation on par with the same nature of the father. this hymn is often cited.

6) Deuteronomy 6:4 (1 Cor 8:6) - shows oneness of God. helps define one God (one nature) and three persons.

7) Matthew 3:16 - baptismal formula that shows all three present a the moment of creation commissioning

10) 1 John 4:7-8 - The divine nature describe by one word, love. Augustine uses this a lot to describe father as love, jesus as lover and spirit as loved. one nature founded in love of three persons.

11) John 20: 27-28 - here thomas inserts the definite article before the word theos (the God). This becomes an important verse as they argue about jesus divinity. saying theos can describe any number or gods, but saying The God, is a more explicit statement of the most high creator which thomas is describing jesus as when he sees the resurrected jesus.

and this wasn't an arguement per say, it was just a disagreement about the name that everyone calls the person who was known as Yeshua, but the name Jesus being a different meaning as in secret meanings like we understand no one understands the real meaning of words....like SIN as well. Missing the mark, but what mark are we shooting for that we missed? Because we don't even know what mark we are aiming for to begin with.

I think we all have our interests and things more or less important to us in the moment whether quantum physics or the meaning and importance of names. our hierarchies of importance change from day to day, but every step is the way. We can be grateful to be able to have open conversations and disagreements that are not done at all in spite, anger or irrelevance.

I think one thing that strikes me about the importance of names and getting jesus’ name correct in terms of a resonant signature or something, is that i’m not sure it can work that way especially with jesus. I mean he had at least 3 ways in his life where his name would have been pronounced differently. Like which one is the only true one if we go down that path. Mary and Joseph would have likely used thr aramaic sounding name at home and most of the time. His hebrew name would have been named in temple and synagogue and ritual things perhaps some public things too with jewish elders. While aramaic and hebrew is similar (kind of like spanish and Portuguese) it does not “sound” the exact same. The aramaic would have been more the guttural at the end (dropping the “ah” and like swallowing it) and the accents would have it sounding slightly different. The greek version sounded different and would have likely been used most places in his life as the common language even in the galilee at the time (marketplace etc). So he has three different sounding names, contemporary to his incarnated life. So which one is the true name that has power? plus as a full name the hebrew would have been “ben” and aramaic (bar) for some of joseph. This is why i push back on the exact sound of the name being relevant. Much less as the name iesous transliterates over time in a variety of language. We could just as easily call him Josh I suppose.

The bigger question in terms of alien narratives is, do the names in variety lock into the identity or must it be some exact name to connect in a meaningful way. I don’t know for sure in terms of a massive variety of alien metaphysics here, but the former makes much more logical sense to me personally.

There were 'time travel' projects that went back to see him, one man was suppose to go back and kill him, but he said when he looked into his eyes, he couldn't do it. Then the next trip he was suppose to get his DNA. They were very interested in getting his DNA because he, the guy wasn't suppose to leave anything behind, probably for this very reason. He probably knew that they'd distort his teachings, When Paul aka Saul wrote about him, he had never met him, and it was long after he was gone. This is why we can't really trust ancient texts or many writings.
The Nag Hammadi is interesting though, the Book of Thomas and others not accepted by the church, and the burning down of the Library of Alexandria.

*I understand the part about intent. And i think that's what i'm getting at. If the intent is on the person as described in the scriptures as the same person farsight remote viewed (which i think is) then the various proper names aren't that significant. And part of my annoyance, is probably to do not so much with anything written here, but with other christians who try to sound cool or in the know by calling jesus by his hebrew name. There is a name given in the greek NT, transliterated into english, just use that one and stop trying to sound different for no reason other than trying to sound smart. You're not doing this, but it's an old trigger from within the christian community. Sorry i dragged you into that 😅.
But i do think names are very important. In the few exorcisms i've been involved with, i decided it was best to go with the orthodox way of doing it (where you don't name the name of the demon) instead of the roman catholic way (where you do name the name) bc the EO theology of personal energy made sense to me. You can accidently be energized by the demon by bringing its name into your mouth and speak it. Also, in Origens "On first principles" at the very end of this important work, he says, and why do we know this is true, it's because people are healed and demons flee when we say the name of jesus. the proof is in the pudding so to speak. so names are important, but whether english or greek like origen it still works.

Yes, in the farsight remote viewing he is able to notice and communicate as he chooses which makes sense. Not sure about the learning of esoteric things (which things from which sessions? He should know things, but just can't place it what you're talking about in the jesus projects). Again totally makes sense that he was with a "strike team" or other beings, that's pretty clearly described in the NT along with the title Yeme describes as Commander (Lord in my english translation ).

In terms of the crucifixion thing, I have a few thoughts 1) Courtney seems great, but have found myself perplexed on religious and non religious projects when he gives his final interpretation to bring it all together. I'm like, that's not what i heard at all from the data (some of the time anyways). Then you have the synoptic problem. You have viewers witnessing a thing and doing a great job describing the actual thing, to the best of their abilities, which are impressive. But they are still pictures. Just like the gospel writers giving witness from their perspective and often disagreeing (synoptic proble). same thing in remote viewing. Third, Harvey cleared up the jesus not crucified thing and gave a different explanation which sounded to me a lot more scriptural. "echo body" sounded like jesus emptying himself even on his way to the cross (phil 2). Now i would be troubled if this was a cowardly act, but Harvey describes this as a way to protect people from worse things happening. I'm fine with that. Plus jesus being in the 12th harmonic engineering compassion. to me that's another way of describing jesus as the eternal logos (rational architect of reality) from the highest heavens currently in the heavenly temple as a mediator infusing love and compassion (Hebrews) - like duh, that's what scripture says. He's love and full of compassion and mercy for humanity. Finally, in eastern orthodoxy it's the incarnation that is the most important thing (cruxifixion happens during his incarnation) but it's the incarnation and liberating and transforming of humanity that is the key. One EO theologian makes a strong case that jesus is the one who goes to save the prize (like a heroes journey) and the prize is freeing humanity. if that hero comes back bloodied, well that happens, but the getting beaten up part isn't critical. there are quotes people pull from church fathers to say otherwise, but i think they are wrong. it's really not until the reformation in protestant theology (mostly calvinism) and the catholic reaction to the reformation where you start to get more about the jesus needed to bleed to effect rescue. and really it's not until stupid american reformed theology in the 18-early 19th century where you get what most people in the US think is a historic understanding of the cross paying a debt to an angry God (charles hodge). If there were conservative christian's on here i would be debating them and have through most of my career. Just like Plato predicted well before jesus lived, if one of true love existed on earth they would be scourged beaten and crucified. just like what happened. on this memory wipe prison planet under the specter of corruption death, we kill each other and someone needs to show us another way.

Paul has the earliest writings and they are perhaps only 15 years after jesus. Not contemporaneous, but in an alien chat i'm surprised the story of damascus road would be dismissed - could jesus not have come back down and interacted with him?

Yes, I agree that the nag hammadi library is very interesting. Gospel of Thomas is interesting enough in its sayings (probably 2/3 of which are basically the same as other NT texts). I find that the least interesting personally because of its lack of narrative. The monks buried the books presumably before the second ecumenical council after Athanasius festal letter in 365 when those weren't part of the Nt list (this did not happen under constantine at nicea like everyone says.) I'm glad those monks preserved them.

But getting into those or canonical transmission of texts can be for another time. Thank you for your responses Nancy. They help my thinking as i'm interacting with this material.

One more note, and this is what i’m working on currently in my class, given the farsight material (and some others) it’s not really that we have christology wrong, it’s that our anthropology is wrong. But even here, scripture says “you are gods (john 10). Origen talks about the pre-existence of souls (not condemned til like 250 years later). We are little christ’s. and given the “fall” from the celestial realm into this prison planet only going with what we see in our fallen state it’s not surprising that at least the western tradition of christianity has a much lower anthropology.

I'd be considered a heretic or witch in those days....so glad we aren't in those days but what we are seeing right now with raptures and so on....I'm Bibled out. I think it's got some truth mixed with mostly lies...and some regurgitated stories from Sumerian, but either way humanity needs to evolve past it.

Darren, Thanks for replying in this space of open inquiry. I’d reply by point, but just like you have had this conversation with many priests etc, I’ve had this conversation with points you outlined above with many of my undergrads and the trajectory of this line of conversation is pretty boring. Like ground hogs days for me too. I’d press on sloppy metaphysical language etc and you’d reply and given our lack of interest it, probably would be unhelpful and not worth our time. I’m sorry it wasn’t a more interesting conversation with the religious leaders you’ve opened up to. While i do think our conversation might be more interesting, I’m starting my evening alien theology class shortly and this podcast will probably be better than can be mustered in a limited forum such as this, where relationally is very low.
