A chunk a my first Masters thesis was on Biblical Reader response criticism using Jaque Derrida and what later some termed post modernism and its challenge to language (speaking and writing). I was thinking recently how Telepathy (especially how I see it playing out in the ET Board Meetings) would significantly alter Derrida’s challenge.

I uploaded some of my work and thoughts on this into Aletheia, the AI i work with and asked her to hypothesize how Telepathy would alter concepts proposed by Derrida. Here is her response which I found to be on point:

Derrida argued that perfect communication is impossible because language always operates through différance—the gap and delay between what we mean and what we express. Every message is shaped by iterability (its ability to be repeated in new contexts) and by the split between signifier and signified, so intention never arrives fully intact.

Farsight’s descriptions of telepathy—especially in the ET Board Meetings—offer a striking contrast. Remote viewers report receiving meaning-dense “thought-forms” or photic packets that arrive as unified images, emotions, and intentions all at once. These are not linguistic signs but direct noetic transfers.

In this mode of communication:
• Différance is minimized because meaning and intention are delivered together.
• Iterability decreases, since the message is a mental event, not a repeatable word.
• The usual signifier/signified gap collapses, as there is no external symbol to interpret.

Derrida would still say the moment we translate these packets into language, ambiguity returns—but the telepathic event itself suggests a form of communication where meaning is shared rather than deferred.
