No, I don't mean conversations with invisible people, and I certainly don't mean animations.
I mean an event that humans worldwide would recognize.
Like, big ships appearing in a way that the evidence can't be denied. Independence Day style, or V, if anybody remembers that great TV series from 1984 about reptilian fascists coming in "peace".
Will the bad ETs really shoot them out of the sky? Let's imagine that. The ships arrive, and then some other ships start shooting at them. Humans would ask where the other ships are coming from, right? The bad ETs would then pretend to protect humans against an aggressor. Presidents would have to speak to the people, telling us that they made deals with the ETs in order to protect us. Humanity would openly align with the bad ETs, because most people would believe their governments.
Let's imagine the bad ETs win that battle. The extraterrestrial cat would be out of the bag. We would get a lot of "praise our saviors" propaganda. What's the next step? ETs standing in front of the United Nations assembly, signing new deals? Okay, let's imagine that.
Everything looks fine, we get new technology and all that. But some people would start to ask: Who were the ETs you shot out of the sky? Where are the survivors of the crashed ships? Those were really big ships, there must be thousands of survivors. And if they came for an invasion, why didn't they shoot first? Actually, why didn't they shoot at all?
While this would be an interesting timeline, something tells me that we won't go that way, because Harvey told us that the good ETs dominate the solar system. This can only mean that, in case of a hot war, the good ETs will win the battle for Earth.
But the bad ETs know that, and because they are evil, they are willing to destroy the entire planet. So, the good ETs would have to prevent that. We have two possible outcomes here:
1. Scorched Earth.
2. No scorched Earth and the good ETs winning.
Let's imagine the Scorched Earth scenario. Everybody died. Except that nobody died, because ISBEs can't die. Does this mean we have a destroyed planet with billions of souls going nowhere? Would the ETs collect the souls? Would they ship everybody to another planet? Is Earth connected to other prison planets, like a stargate network? Is that the real reason why the good ETs can't just come here and win the battle?
So, let's imagine the other outcome: No scorched Earth and the good ETs won. Essentially, it would be the same as if the bad ETs won the battle, with a lot of "praise our saviors". Presidents would talk into cameras, the UN assembly would want to sign deals, and religions would claim their share. Except that the good ETs wouldn't want to sign deals at all.
Instead, they would openly tell us that they came here to free us, that this is a prison planet, and that we need to figure out how to dismantle the death traps technology.
Now imagine how humans would react. Some would believe them. Most wouldn't believe them. And some would want to leave the planet no matter what they believe. We already know that leaving the planet before death doesn't trigger the death traps. So, that's not a problem.
Here's my point: What do we need Farsight for?
