Ok enough about Baal for now.
Who is Yam, potentially? So we have a lot of oceanic figures in mythology.
Poseidon, Leviathan, Neptune, Cthulu, Triton.
It would make sense that compering factions could develop side by side. Above water, below water. Even with advanced technology, it would be reasonable that one could have a foothold in a domain, hard to conquer by your enemies because the enemy's civilization is built on an entirely different way of living.
This combination of disciplines should not be underestimated: statistics, political science (well, the real kind) , archeology (the real kind ) , mythology, and of course remote viewing.
Baal & Yam are not a one-off topic. They are the window into the real current politics of earth.
Then there is the third faction? Mot... who later in the Baal Cycle myth kills Baal. But Baal gets resurrected after his sister/ lover Anate ( who delights in bathing in blood and makes belts from human heads and hands ) throw's a hissy fit, goes on a blood rampage, then goes and finds Baal's body ..its doesn't say how Baal gets resurrected, just that it happens,. and she brings Baal back home .. but Baal is not El's son, although El is in charge..and gives in to Baal all the time, I think he's Baal's uncle. Mot seems to be El's son and so I think is Yam...if I remember correctly .. To me Baal sounds very much like Nergal/Era in Sumer and Anate like Ishtar as both Ishtar and Era/Nergal went on a conquering/ killing rampage in Sumer and Canaan and were shagging each other. Ishtar also was resurrected when she went down to the Underworld ( Sounds like a base in Antarctica) and is killed by Ereshkigal (Her sister) ( Who is married to Nergal, ( Who could be Baal) after he tried to rape her and cut her head off, but she said marry me instead, so he did. Any way Ishtar is apparently upset that Damuzi ( Her teenage crush) slipped and fell in the water and drowned ( in another version he is drowned by bandits and Marduk, who was no where near gets blamed) any way, she,for some unknown reason has to descend into the underworld due to this, takes of all her cloths at each of the 7 gates then gets killed. Enki her great uncle ( Marduk's dad) sends some robots to resurrect her and then she comes back. But.. somehow Damuzi is not dead now and won't stand up and cheer that she is back and has been shagging his sister so Ishtar gets mighty pissed... then some how Marduk gets blamed again..( I feel sorry for Marduk, always getting blamed and never anywhere near any of the shit going down) Are you keeping up? ...Lol...Its like a bad version of Dynasty the TV program.. Can you see the intro and the music to "Annunak" the netflix series ..a dynastic family and all their thrills spills and bills and scheming and inter family BS. then..some how Ishtar then hooks up with Nergal and thats when they go on conquest killing spree in Canaan and Sumer...Then El sick of all the in fighting of the younger generation divides the land up and they all get land to rule except Yaweh who gets a people but no land, so ta da drum roll.. the Bible.. and we all know what happens there...is Yaweh Baal? Probably not, as he seemed to be jealous of Baal, but which Baal?As there were many Baal's ( Lords/Sirs) Yaweh was Cloud Rider. So was Hadad/Iskur. Iskur/Hadad was Enlil's grand son. Was Enlil El ?( El Shadai) Was Enki El? Probably Enlil... but was Enlil Zues? Was Negal Zeus? Was Hadad/Iskur Zues? Zues was title too, Zues means 'deity' so how many Zues's was there? Meanwhile Marduk is in Babel doing a sort of egalitarian thing ( if you believe any of those ET's could care about humans, Marduk/ Asar/ Asar luhi kind of did) ( Osiris was also called Asar, Osiris was just a Greek name, given later) Anyway Marduk is in Babel where he's running a kind of co -op. All gods are allowed temples and humans get educated and taught technology and wisdom and given autonomy, but..off course the other gods didnt like that, they needed subservience, well the Enlilites, certainly not happy with that. So they attack Babel and destroy The Tower/University/landing ports etc.. then they go destroy 5 more cities ( Nuke them) as the humans in the cities were getting uppity, liking the Marduk model of egalitarianism . Sodom and Gomorah being 2 of those freedom wanting cities. But the nuclear fall out wrecks the entire region, Canaan, Indus, Libya, Saudi Arabia ( Dilmon) etc..and some how Babylon is saved ( One of Marduk's other cities) so.. they all give into Marduk in the end..but... was this before or after the Baal Cycle? It was all before the Greeks and Zues. Was this the clash of the Titans? I'm sure Farsight is going to RV a lot more of this to come. So we may well get 'Annunaki' the series after all. Hang on to your hats and buckle up. Sitchen made many wrong assumptions that are not in the tablets about Marduk. he also mistakenly equates Marduk with Ra. Because one of the titles for Marduk was Marduk-Re or Ra.. but nearly all the Egyptian gods had Ra before their names at some point.Ra seems to be a title too. Marduk's name was Asar or Asar-luhi (Marduk just a title too) ( Like I said above, Osiris's actual name was also Asar, so a closer connection there) I've been fascinated with all this stuff for 40 years. have read and re-read every myth, tablet, translation and book I could get my hands on over that time. And personally .. I'm on team Marduk. The best of a bad lot. He did some stupid stuff when he was young, like blow up a planet but was heavily influenced by his elders in that tale. Later he seems to have rebelled the most on the side of humanity. And got much maligned through bad propaganda, afterwards for doing that. Probably because at one point he was exiled for many years and had to live amongst the humans as one of them..even marrying a human. The story of Prometheus stealing fire ( tech) from heaven and giving it t humanity I do believe is the Marduk story and the Tower of Babel. I think he was behind the mutiny of the army unit in the book of Enoch (200 fallen angels) They rebelled against the controlling Enlilites and ran away with Earth girls.. formed cities on mount Hermon and gave humans technology and wisdom. (Like The 'Mutiny on the Bounty' story.) Then were painted as villains by the victors and controllers and Enlilites/Yawehites, retroactively as a cautionary tale. Don't rebel. Stay in slavery or else..
