In the latest Spotlight titled "Epstein Disclosures and Governance Decay", Courtney is talking about important stuff, and I don't want to diminish that. He's essentially correct about the need to transform societial institutions.
BUT: He's also trying really hard to sort disclosure from morality. Like, it's only a question of practicability and institutions just need more bandwith to make society work.
This is not only false, it's utterly utterly wrong.
Every institution is based on what people believe. If they believe in government, which means to abdicate responsibility and follow orders so you don't have to think for yourself, the institutions will reflect this belief. This is the exact reason why evil people can get in there and do evil stuff.
