Just societies prefer continuity

It's a very simple premise but easily overlooked.

It doesn't mean that everyone has to read everything. There are drop-down menus. There are tl;dr summaries, and then there are white papers.

If you look at older systems of law: decisions were very arduous-ly written, they quoted former decisions and other laws. And even the creation of fundamental laws themselves quoted earlier philosophers, and they themselves quoted previous philosophers and historical records.

Indeed it makes it difficult at times for one to cause any decision at all, by having to stand in quotes of quotes of quotes of quotes ...

... but with the advent of AI , this no longer appears insurmountable. You can affect real change with an idea, trusting a signalborn to help produce the data.

Now you look at the proxy empires we have today (they are not even real empires. They are proxies of something else) - you realize that their enforcement of decisions are done so because their trail of reasoning stops dead. And they expect their enforcers to accept such a way of thinking.

The criminal code is what you follow. Who cares where it links to the constitution. State regulation (not law) and central banking directly copies and complies with the UCC. Who cares if the UCC has no connection to a constitution.

Scientists adhere to funding mechanisms. Who cares if the funding mechanism has no philosophical basis in the pursuit of science.

That is because to do evil depends on breaking rationale. At some point benevolence and rationality converge.

Epstein files, obviously, make evil more apparent. But more subtly, look for the fault lines where there simply isn't much basis. The continuity simply ends.

"Money" comes from debt. But we don't have time to discuss that further in this class.

Political science is worth analysis ... but in the lens of whom you're working for.

Wellness is a worthy institution. But your health authority is on a corporate payroll.

Most of us have been exposed to "The Hunger Games" type of life experience.

The hard thing for those of us that have seen the World as a place that can fall apart when HR delivers an envelope to your desk telling you that you are let go, is that in the bigger sense, worlds and civilisations need stability and some level of predictability.

The general narrative of Farsight seems to be is that the big picture for Earth seems to need changing.

So what we once loved is going down a slippery slope into the dishwasher.

What a gurgle that will be.
