If you're not angry, there's obviously something wrong. Likewise, if you're to the point of the yelling lunatic in the street, you're not getting anywhere
And if you have no compassion there's again something wrong. But if your solution is to hand currency to a yelling man in the street you're donating to a pointless charity.
There is a weird emotional state we must consistently achieve. It must be extremely angry, it must have strong empathy, and it must be extremely tempered.
Perhaps the means to achieve such a state consistently is somewhere between meditation, fact digging, and yes even some level of hedonism in between the scramble to feed yourself.
Once in a while it pays to step back and ask simple questions like: really? None of us have any clue about what happens when we die? Take the staunch atheist who disbelieves the soul completely. Are they actually taking time to read anything that challenges their view?
And really?? Never enough resources to make it to Mars. Not even one full film of a rocket going into space and coming all the way down.
Ok I digress. The simple point being to identify the kind of emotional makeup necessary. Or is it all wrong? Sure, let's hear it
