A few days ago, I had a cool dream. So cool...it was chilling.

In the dream I was recruited for a secret space program because of my academic background and my psychic abilities. I wasn't elite at either, but good enough in both that it made my hybrid skills valuable. I was excited to join the program. It was going to be exciting to get exposed to whole new worlds, different intelligent life, and cool tech that could even extend my life.

But then I noticed something. There were some strange rituals at the institute I was recruited to. I noticed reptilian overtones. At first, I shrugged it off and figured I'd ignore it. But as time went on, I started making bad choices. I started to abandon people I cared about just so I could stay in the program. I woke up just as I was thinking if I should betray someone I really value. I hadn't decided yet in the dream but I was mulling it over as my alarm rang out.

The timing doesn't feel like coincidence. It sure seemed like a warning. We have to be careful of our values as we're enticed with new options and new technology. Otherwise, who cares who wins some intergalactic war or if ET shows up. There won't be anything worth saving.

For everyone clamoring for signs in the skies and alien saviors with great tech be careful. The hour might be close at hand. I hope we are ready and we need to be prepared to make good choices.

I agree, it does sound like a warning. Most of these groups, especially military are evil, the lower level aren't since they probably don't even know they are doing these things or if they do they need to get a heart moment to think about what it means to betray humanity for money or thrills. This is what they've done, we are product to them.

It would be a cool job for sure. But if you don't want to be 'augmented' because they will do that, they are creating supersoldiers. Wouldn't it be cool if we all could go on rides to the moon or mars or travel to another world.

It sounds like a memory. Like, you already have been there, and now you start to remember because it could repeat.

I have many dreams about places and situations that feel "known" while I'm dreaming, but when I wake up, I don't know the places or people involved. For example, I live somewhere else, in a different house, but in the dream, it feels like home.

It's possible that those are resurfacing memories.

Have a look at the TV show "From". It's a depiction of souls trapped in hell, slowly discovering their forgotten past lives.

I think I saw why they can't just fly in and save us. It's even more complicated than rescuing people from an Earth prison. The level of technology available out beyond Earth is quite high; true freedom gives us access but with that must come responsibility.

It's like freeing juveniles from a prison. Even if they should be free, you don't just give juveniles everything before they're ready. Our lack of experience/amnesia is an issue.
