Suppose I went to some distant land with the intent of freeing people whom are imprisoned. I have a fair amount of artillery compared to the dictator controlling them, but I can't micromanage every little detail of their society.

Now suppose I can eliminate their evil tyrant. The first question is how would I do it? I wouldn't have time to go in and ask everybody to put it to a vote and enter it into a ballot whether I can get rid of this dictator. I also don't think I would want to just assassinate them in secret, that's pretty dire and all kinds of presumptions could be made about why it was done and what it was for. The other option is I could just get rid of him in broad daylight but if I don't at least have some sort of show that it is in the best interest of the denizens then it probably wouldn't make me look so great. So really the most ideal situation is where they are already in the middle of fighting that dictator, and I just help bring in the fire.

Well suppose that's done. There's another problem. If I say "hey you're all free, no problem, why don't you all come to my country and we can all go grab a beer." Not a good idea. This dictator has gotten them so psychologically screwed up they would probably serve to damage themselves and my own community further.

What I would want is for them to work out their problems in their own community. Without the central dictator they could now work things out more freely, but it will undoubtedly be very messy and ugly for a time. Still it has to be done.

Chances are all of this would have to be done in their own language, with their own rules, their own customs, their own kind of skewed way of thinking. Whomever thinks that they're just gonna get out of the village and all of the village happenings will suddenly becoming irrelevant is shitting themselves.

The first question is:

1. Did anyone ask you to go there or did you decide yourself they needed "freeing". In other words, under what authority do you intervene? Are you yourself acting as a tyrant deciding for others what they need and violating them in the process? Or do you have real authority to be acting?

If you do have authority in some way, then after that we can ask more questions:

1. In the process of "freeing" the people by overpowering the "dictator" you've decided you don't like (or maybe you're just purely benevolent, maybe you like their resources like oil or rare earth minerals or gold to make sure your artillery and AI infused military stays powerful), how were you changed in the process? Did you become better or worse as a being who takes out a Dictator for "freedom"? Do the people just see you as the next Dictator? How do you stop them from doing that?

2. How many people did you kill, traumatize, maim or otherwise injure to "free them"? One, two, a hundred million? Any innocents killed or just "soldiers"? What about diplomatic bystanders or those actually trying to help people after your "intervention" to free everyone so they can live how you want them to?

3. Now you've "freed" them from their former Dictator, how are you going to keep "order" since you can't micromanage every detail of their society? So how's that going to go when you remove the leader in a society shaped through hierarchy and dictatorship? Are they suddenly going to behave differently? Or will everything break up into miniwarlords everywhere kind of societies? Are those nice to live in? Do people just sit around and "drink beer" together there? Is there anyone left who even knows how to make beer?

4. Wait a minute, you just freed people from their evil dictator so why would they go to YOUR country? Didn't you make their country wonderful with your intervention for them? Why do you have any business in anyone else's country telling them how to live differently in the first place if you don't know what you're doing and you make it so they have to go live in YOUR country to drink beer? Isn't that a violation? Why did you intervene in the first place if you made things worse?

5. Chances are if you go to someone else's planet and try to "free" them in all your benevolence (because you know best how others should be), then likely you're going to get very entangled there and will get stuck yourself in THEIR country (or planet). Then if there's beer to be had you can have it with the rest of the locals you thought you were "helping" but really didn't help because you can't micromanage better than the dictator did and now what matters is which warlord rules where you are. On earth if you're in the Dominion of Canada you're under King Charles and Co and for some parts CCP and Co (maybe the same, who knows). If you're in the USA, its probably whoever is controlling the black programs/CIA/secret government now. I don't know who that is. Depends who you talk to I guess.

6. Why would removing a central dictator mean they can now suddenly work out their problems more "freely". They were trained in that social structure, so isn't it much more likely you'll get warlords vying for control of the former position? Removing a warlord doesn't remove the core laws of the structure itself. You just get the same thing, different warlord. And the benefit of a dictator is they keep order. If you have a benevolent dictator sometimes that is much better to live under because then at least you know where you stand. That's why the Loyalists who disagreed with the American Revolution, for example, went up to Canada.

7. What if its a benevolent Oligarchy that is the "dictator" like Plato discussed? A small group of "betters" who decide what its best for the rabble? How would you deal with that?

8. When has it ever worked when you try to force your idea on how someone else should "work out their problems in their own community"? What if they decide the way to work out their problems is to simply appoint another Dictator who is maybe better received than the last one (like maybe you modified the genetics so they are human/reptillian hybrids so they look more human and the people feel better about it all)? Would you accept it if that's what the people worked out? Or would you still think, 'no, they need to work it out how I want them to"?

You can't free those who believe they cannot rise and be sovereign or who would serve someone's evil agenda because they are afraid of being killed or tortured.
All tyrants have a group of order followers who don't think about their actions. They are NPCs who just follow a program. No one has power over you that you didn't give it to them....that is why we must take our power back and be sovereign...the system is falling and these folks can't keep it undercover anymore.
I think we could handle it if we just 'think for ourselves'....and do for ourselves, then if you can help others. Simple and no one has to do anything but as a whole it makes a community better if everyone chips in and does their part and no one is being abused by someone with a savior complex.

People need to parse out their beliefs. You can't say "just trust the system" and "give peace a chance" in the same breath. The "system" is, with insurmountable evidence, intrinsically violent. No one can say "just help humans with love" and in the same breath "humans can't do anything for themselves. So they need intervention." You know the slave trade laws were full with the concept that slave ownership had everything to do with "benefit of the slaves." When they went missing, the state troopers had to come find them because "the slaves are lost and they won't be able to take care of themselves." Even after freedom, the attitude was "we need to make laws to protect them because freedom just isn't enough, let's make a 14th amendment that makes a special classification for them."
