Things along these lines have been discussed already but I don't know if it boiled down to this. This is largely based on Farsight ethos based on what they've discussed.
There are seemingly 4 major factions competing for Earth. 2 "good guys" , 2 "bad guys" The Orions (annunaki), the Draco, the Domain, the Federation.
The Draco follow a strict tier system of a governing class, a warrior class, and a slave class. IS-BEs are highly prevented from ever changing classes but some rare exceptions get made.
The Orions come from a highly complex legal system where consent is more codified and "have-nots" typically remain have-nots, which basically argues that "stupid is equivalent to evil". They want to on-board us to their system but mostly as the have-nots and they have skirmishes with the Dracos but largely they're willing to do business for mutual gain. I think they feel uncertain about their future survival, but they have a lot of IS-BEs that will not be so eager to be put to justice by the federation
The galactic federation has rebelled against both Draco and Orions, pushing them to the fringe of the galaxy. They value freedom and would like to see tge galaxy enjoy its own sovereignty
The Domain plans on assimilating the galaxy into their stewardship, but it would not enjoy the same type of individual sovereignty. They consider freedom ... pretty high on the list but allow various IS-BE prisons to form within their constraints. I suspect the Draco actually occupy sectors within the Domain but are just more heavily restricted wherever the Domain exists.

That being said, it doesn't necessarily do much for us in the here and now even if it hovered around the truth. But something like this would be a bit of an explanation when it comes to the strange secret societies that were formed and their rules and competitions.
I don't trust a particular philosophy. I think an appropriate goal is a mean or median between the conceptual elements.
I also believe behavior is ballot. But what are you trying to vote for? Perhaps Somewhere, anywhere, not on an edge. Whatever that might mean.
