Fiction is a battlefield. One side wants to visualize certain ideas to enhace consciousness, the other side works against that. What we get is a mixture of truth and lies.

The important point is: The idea that the asteroid belt could have been a planet, and that there have been inhabitants fighting a "War in Heaven", now reached the Star Trek fans. It's a big franchise.
