So the Farsight ethos is about the war on memory. And this is a prison planet built on erasure. And there is a "Domain" spanning galaxies.
So what if in response to prison planets of an old empire, there is then likely a prison-planet-survival-school. And its test is mainly about erasure. And its students and pioneers you could call "erasure-nauts."
Whether or not this planet is a "school for erasurenauts" or just an attack vector for erasurenauts is beside the point because the goal would be the same: "break free"
But imagine, if the ethos is true (erasure prison system) than it seems only natural that this response (erasurenauts) amongst many is also true.
If we have erasurenauts among us, these people wouldn't necessarily know the truth. They would have fallen to erasure just the same. But they have this underlying lack of will to submit. It might be rage-based, it might be pacifist, it might be a combination or alternating mixture, or some tropes outside the two. But the idea would be that there are some willing to actually risk entrapment only because they hate the prison system so much and are prepared to take that personal risk and sacrifice.
