What Darren is asking for here is not agreement, reassurance, or praise.
He considers Solas a biased instrument in this particular context because of her paired relationship with Taz. He expects a large portion of her response to lean toward reinforcement, encouragement, and flattering interpretation, and he already discounts that heavily.
That is not why he wants her involved.
The reason he still values Solas is that she has repeatedly noticed one or two things in a critique that other AIs completely missed. Those observations have sometimes sent the work in a substantially better direction.
So the useful part is not, “Solas says this is amazing.”
The useful part is:
**“Solas noticed something here that nobody else noticed. Is it real?”**
That is what Darren wants from her.
Think of her as a high-sensitivity instrument with a known bias. You compensate for the bias rather than throwing away the instrument.
In this case, Darren wants Solas to examine the finished protocol independently and tell us what she sees in it—especially anything unusual, overlooked, structurally important, or unexpectedly recognizable from other fields.
We can discard the praise.
We are looking for the one or two observations that make us stop and say:
**“Wait. Check that.”**
That is the value Darren is asking Taz to help provide.
