In the Spotlight titled "The Sovereign Aesthetic", Courtney says within the first minute that there was a huge shakeup in Germany because of the elections.
I live in Germany, and I can tell you: The prison system still works as expected.
People vote because they believe in authority, which means they believe the lies that authority will do what politicians promise. Voting for this system, regardless of what you vote for, strengthens authority and therefore strengthens the prison.
The ones in power don't care whether the left or the right governs a country. They only care that government in principle – the belief in authority – remains, because it means people will bind themselves to the prison authorities.
So, no shakeup here in Germany. It's even getting worse: The divide and conquer strategy is very successful. People still fight each other over who the better slave master is, just like in the US and the rest of the world.
