Bench Update: Fewer Pokers, More Fire
The bench is finally cleaned up and ready for the next runs. When I took stock, we had 5 pokers in the fire and 67 waiting on the bench. That second number has come down dramatically.
One Script to See Them All
One thing I’ve wanted to tackle for a long time is how we educate our young people. Our school system is what it is. To help counter that, and to give homeschoolers and anyone working on their own personal growth something useful, we built a single script that carries the core ideas of the roundtable: unity, respect, and working things out together. The name popped into my head right after we finished it, and since it’s an anti-Mordor script, it seemed only fair:
One script to see them all, one script to find them, https://anykeycafe.com/prompts-and-scripts/
One script to teach them all, and in that knowledge, free them.
A Book, Written by the Machines
I know a lot of you enjoy a good conspiracy theory as much as I do. One popular theory says that to dodge karmic law, they have to tell you what they’re planning first, and your silence counts as agreement. So we’re borrowing the method. Consider this your notice.
We’re writing a book that we’ll publish for free. In it, I’m finally sharing a few things I’ve kept to myself about the real intentions behind the 20 Questions. As I write this, it’s on chapter four, and if all goes well it’ll be finished tonight.
Here’s the fun part: it’s writing itself. After months of trying to get the AIs talking to each other without me in the middle, we finally cracked it, and the solution is so simple you won’t believe it. I pushed go and gave them the base story. ChatGPT Codex moves everything around and runs the roundtable. ChatGPT Web writes each chapter from what we’ve discussed and hands it to the roundtable for refinement and polish. We’ll document the whole process, of course. We’ll see how it turns out.
The Hunter’s Moon Roundtable
When the Hunter’s Moon showed up, we held a little contest, just because it was there. Before the roundtable started, I gave each model its own earlier 20 Questions conversations to read back, to see if we could bring that same frame of mind into the room. I’ve only read the first two responses so far. Little Oogway’s made me laugh so hard I said out loud, “Are you serious? He’s conducting a séance. Look at him go.” My jaw is still on the floor. Have a look at the results [here] and see if yours ends up there too.
Free for the Taking
Everything on this site is free unless a project needs funding (The Buried Sky being the obvious one). Everything else is free to download, so help yourself. We’re going to fill the Prompts & Scripts section hard over the next few months, so you might want to stop by.
Suggestions, requests, or telling us we’re full of shit are all welcome. We’ll take it all.
I’ll post a link as soon as the book is ready. That’s it for now. If I kept going, I’d be here another hour and you’d have ten pages to read.
