This creation story are far more older than the hebrew version of it. It comes from the sumerian ant mesopotamian as a lot of older stories from the bible. The only part that I trust being hebrew is from moses and beyond.

Adam is in my hypothesis a worker created to do some job for the "Elohim's", Jeova being one of them. And Eden a place where they lived.
