This has never been a tree. If it would have been, there should be certain petrified wood features also be visible like torus and porus, lenticels etc. The tracheids (the cells transporting the water) can only be max 9 m long, if it would be more, then the water column would tear because of gravity. And they are single cells. The tree has to suck up the water to the crown by the suction force of the leaves. There are physical limits for this.

The maker has neither a smallest clue about geology nor about dendrology.
This is just the inside of an intrusion (simplyfied:like a volcano) of hard rock in a softer surrounding rock which has been eroded and washed or blown away over time.

Assuming that gravity back then was the same as today.

How do you know? Is there no rock in the ground?

The columns are 180m tall, even with the growing earth theory this is a bit much. The "roots" should be visible above ground if one does not ignore geology completely, There is a river valley nearby. A big tree (we are talking about a kilometers high tree!) needs very big and long roots. Can you imagine the suction force needed to bring the water up this high? We are talking about hundreds of atm. We use the best steel to deal with such high pressures. We do not construct our submarines with timber...

Yes, it's simply a geologic feature.
