Suppose that Bob were to testify in court on either of the 2 scenarios
*Bob is the defendant against a lawsuit for damages of failure to oay and breach of contract (such as a mortgage or bill left unpaid)
OR
*Bob were to sue an organization for damages in that they've harassed and arrested Bob, seized his property without due process.
AND
Bob calls a witness to the stand.
Bob states that his Nation is the Galactic Federation, and as a result, the seizure of property has no jurisdiction over Bob, or the plaintiff has no jurisdiction over Bob
*****
Would someone, anyone, willingly take the stand as a witness as a representative of the Galactic federation?
Re: «Would someone, anyone, willingly take the stand as a witness as a representative of the Galactic federation?»
Answer: Probably not happening any time soon in any earthly Caesar-style court-room.
Re: «Bob states that his Nation is the Galactic Federation, and as a result, the seizure of property has no jurisdiction over Bob, or the plaintiff has no jurisdiction over Bob»
Answer: The Black-Robed Clerk sitting on the Bench who Masquerades as a So-Called Judge would try to «direct» the «court» (ship) into having Bob see a Psychiatrist.
Re: «Bob calls a witness to the stand.»
Answer: Doesn't change the fact that these are kangaroo-court show-trials.
Re: «*Bob were to sue an organization for damages in that they've harassed and arrested Bob, seized his property without due process.»
Answer: They will just play stupid and act like they're not guilty of any wrong-doing (we decided to investigate ourselves and we've also decided to come to the conclusion that we're not guilty of any wrong-doing; no rights were violated).
Note: This doesn't work without some damn good filed paper-work to back them into a corner that was delivered via certified mail with multiple-copies to multiple-recipients.
Re: «*Bob is the defendant against a lawsuit for damages of failure to [p]ay and breach of contract (such as a mortgage or bill left unpaid)»
Answer: Most people would just bend over and let themselves get [censored] with legalese without understanding the nature of the fact that they are being presented with offers of contract revolving around a system of instruments-of-exchange... instead of simply accepting the instrument-of-exchange for value and returning the instrument-of-exchange to the clerk masquerading as a judge for value (i.e.: accepted for value & returned for value). Note: This process requires knowledge of the combination of the SPC-System (Secured Party Creditor), Contract-Law, Equity-Law, and, enough homework to know the difference between Legalese versus Common-Parlance.
In both scenarios you've described, it would be highly unlikely that a witness would voluntarily take the stand to testify as a representative of the "Galactic Federation," as such a claim involves several legal and practical issues. Let me explain why:
Lack of Recognition of the Galactic Federation: The "Galactic Federation" is not recognized by any current legal system on Earth or by any nation-state. It is not a legally recognized entity with the authority to represent individuals in a courtroom. Most court systems rely on laws grounded in real-world treaties, national laws, and international agreements. A claim of citizenship or affiliation with a non-existent or fictional entity like the "Galactic Federation" would not be taken seriously in any official capacity.
Jurisdiction and Legal Boundaries: Courts determine jurisdiction based on the legal systems and national laws where they operate. Jurisdiction is typically tied to a physical location, the parties involved (e.g., people or organizations), and the laws of the relevant nation or state. A claim to be beyond the jurisdiction of the court because of a "Galactic Federation" would be dismissed as legally irrelevant. Legal systems do not entertain claims of intergalactic or fictional entities with no grounding in existing law.
Witness Testimony: Even if Bob claims that the Galactic Federation is his governing body, it is highly unlikely that any person or witness would be willing to testify as a representative of that organization. No such entity exists in reality, so there would be no one to represent it, and no one would be able to testify as a representative of an organization that lacks a legal or factual basis.
Practical Considerations: Any person who might be called as a witness would likely need to adhere to the rules of evidence and law. In this case, the concept of the "Galactic Federation" would not meet the requirements for testimony in a court of law. A court would expect witnesses to testify based on relevant, material facts that align with the legal framework being used.
In summary, no one would likely take the stand as a representative of the "Galactic Federation" because it is not a recognized or legitimate entity within the legal framework of Earth-based courts. The claims about jurisdiction or affiliation with such an organization would be rejected by the court.
