I realized something...
Courtney told us that the "good ETs" influence writers telepathically in order to implant ideas, such that TV shows and movies will bring new ideas into the awareness of the public.
Franchises like Star Wars and Star Trek became very influential, so it's not surprising that both sides want to use them for propaganda purposes. And this means that it's also a battlefield.
So, if the shows are a battlefield, this could explain why they are getting worse. Because the bad ETs aren't stupid and do realize that the other side is implanting ideas. This raises the question: How do they react to this?
They obviously can't prevent it, so the next best solution is to muddy the waters. Go woke, put illogical bullshit in there, make it ridiculous, so rational people will turn away from it.
A good example is "Star Wars: Acolyte". Most Star Wars fans can't handle how bad it is, but if you look deeper, there's an interesting idea in there: Is it possible that the Jedi aren't the good guys? What actually are the Jedi?
I always recommend this enlightening video when it comes to the Jedi religion:
Star Wars: Acolyte asks:
Are the Jedi really defenders of truth and justice, or are they just religious fanatics?
Is a Jedi who just follows orders really a good person?
This is a deep question, and the bad guys obviously don't want the public to think about that. So they sabotaged the show by making it silly on the surface, and now everybody hates it.
And they are doing the same thing with Star Trek. People already hate the new Starfleet Academy show, because it's silly and irrational. But if you are willing to turn a blind eye to its technical flaws and look at what they really talk about, it's deep:

Do you also have examples of fiction that they ruined? Maybe there's something in there we're not supposed to see...
