A materialist has a matter-based standard of evidence. If you want to convince a materialist, you have to manipulate matter in a way that affects the physical senses. This has nothing to do with a double standard. It's more like ignoring the non-physical side of reality, like intuition and perception without physical senses.
So, what do you consider to be evidence?
In other words: What has to happen such that whatever it is becomes "evident" to you?
